ABOUT THE ROLEAnrize is looking for Labourers who will be responsible for aiding in all areas of the plant. They will be responsible for collecting materials, pulling strands, setting up forms under supervision and basic concrete placing.They will participate in housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant. A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHReceive oral instructions to determine work assignments.Position or dismantle forms for pouring concreteTransport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipmentAssist machine operators, assemblers and other workersMay assist with minor repairs and maintenanceRemove rubble and other debrisClean and remove excess debris from molds and other equipmentParticipate in daily Pre-Production MeetingsComplete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each taskDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Training/Certifications: N/A
Required Work Experience: 1-2 years is preferred. Prior experience in a precast plant would be an asset.Additional Requirements:Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including SaturdaysExperience working in a production line settingPerform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materialsSafety OrientedAble to lift 50 lbsAble to work in a fast paced, high production environmentAble to work unsupervisedAble to work well with othersGood communication skillsSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
