Compensation: base pay $34-38/ hr (or $70-80K annually) + commission/ bonus - depending on performance and experienceAbout Our Client:Our client, a leading international jewellery retailer, specializing in sourcing, designing, wholesaling, and retailing a variety of gold, platinum, and gem-set jewellery products, is continuing their expansion into the Canadian market and actively seeking an Assistant Jewellery Sales Manager / Jewellery Sales Manager to support the sales operations and team management at their latest retail location. The successful candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and English and be able to read Traditional Chinese. Fluency in Cantonese is an asset. Candidates must have retail jewellery experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:As the Assistant Jewellery Sales Manager or Jewellery Sales Manager, you will:
  • Assist in managing the overall operations of the department to ensure smooth business flow.
  • Build strong customer relationships and provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Drive sales through effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
  • Provide feedback to staff regarding performance, setting clear expectations and goals.
  • Manage the department's operational aspects, including inventory flow and employee efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, ensuring the department meets sales targets and KPIs.
QUALIFICATIONS:To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in the retail industry, with at least 4 years in jewellery sales or a management role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and/ or Cantonese), including proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to think logically and analytically.
  • Proven leadership abilities to coach, motivate, and manage a sales team effectively.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational roster, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
