Responsibilities

Provide strategic guidance to underwriting teams on risk assessment, policy wording, and pricing strategies
Develop and support innovative insurance products, including new initiatives
Collaborate cross-province and cross-functionally with corporate underwriting and other stakeholders
Analyze market segments, geographies, and lines of business to recommend product improvements
Lead and participate in special projects, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
Ensure products and rating changes adhere to regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
Promote workflow efficiencies through coaching and information sessions
Support reinsurance program analysis and exposure management efforts
Stay current with emerging market trends and participate in professional development

Qualifications

CIP or FCIP designation preferred
Minimum 10 years of multi-line underwriting experience, with a focus on personal lines and auto preferred
Proven experience with Guidewire
Strong knowledge of reinsurance, product development, and regulatory reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical mindset with great attention to detail
