Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of an Intermediate / Senior Piping Designer in St. John’s, NL.Located in St. John's, Newfoundland, Maderra Engineering Inc. provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors.   • Conceptualize plans, details, and sections to accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements
  • Prepare and develop 2D and/or 3D designs under the supervision of the Lead Piping Engineer
  • Responsible for checking and back checking computer models and piping drawings
  • Ensure compliance and approved design standards, to provide quality design
  • Prepare bill of materials
  • Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines
Requirements
  • Proficient in current release of AutoCAD
  • Experience using CADWorx 3D, Intergraph Smartplant 3D or PDMS would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of industry/ regulatory codes and standards
  • Must be familiar with piping specifications, Isometric and GA Production and general piping design
  • Able to conceptualize and draw design details independently
  • 10 - 15 years’ experience in Engineering and Construction industry
  • Ability to interpret P&ID’s
  • Knowledge of pipe support requirements
  • Highly motivated, energetic and team player
