- Perform assigned shifts across multiple sites, providing proactive and reactive security patrols and responding to fire or emergency incidents
- Deliver strong customer service while assisting individuals under stress or requiring medical support
- Apply Use of Force or restraints when required
- Provide security escorts and motor-vehicle assistance to staff and visitors
- Maintain accurate logs and reports for all activities, calls, and investigations
- Enforce rules, address violations, and remove individuals when necessary
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access and unlawful activity
- Manage access control at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter
- Support enforcement of company policies, reporting suspicious activity and security concerns
- Report incidents, accidents, and breaches promptly to management
- Monitor surveillance systems and ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when required
- Additional duties as assigned
- Immunization Record (Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- G2 or G-class Ontario Drivers License
- Proof of (minimum) 2 Covid Vaccine doses
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Willing to complete N95 Mask fit clean-shaven requirement
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Fluent in English (both oral and written)
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
