- Provide strategic HR support to multiple client groups/functions, to drive business outcomes and achieve organizational objectives. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with business priorities, support the growth and development of the organization and enhance employee engagement and retention
- Collaborate and work proactively with business leaders to identify key talent issues impacting business goals, and offer strategic solutions, including identifying and retaining top talent
- Provide expert guidance and assistance to managers on a wide range of human resource issues, including employee relations, conflict resolution, performance and compensation management, employee retention and engagement, workplace accommodations, and employment legislation, HR policies and people programs
- Partner with leaders to design and implement organizational structures, processes, and systems that support business objectives and drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement organizational design plans to support business objectives
- Design and implement cultural transformation and change management initiatives to support business objectives and drive employee engagement and retention
- Identify and implement process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
- Develop and execute integration plans for mergers and acquisitions to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate closely with MDA’s HR COE team to design and implement new initiatives, process implementation and leverage team expertise in planning and delivering functional initiatives to respective client group
- Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, with the ability to shift between strategic, operational, and tactical levels
- Communicate, facilitate, and/or present talent programs and rollouts at the business area level
- Actively participate in HR enterprise initiatives, such as development of new human resources talent programs for the organization as a whole
- Lead change management initiatives to support business transformation, including communicating, training and monitoring changes and providing coaching to leaders
- Analyze HR data and metrics to inform business decisions, identify trends, and measure the impact of HR initiatives
- Manage through ambiguity, uncertainty, and changing priorities, while maintaining a solution-oriented approach
- Provide responsive and timely support to business leaders and employees, ensuring that HR services are delivered in a timely and effective manner
- Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices
- Collaborating with other HR functions to ensure integrated HR services
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and inclusivity
- Workforce planning and talent management strategies to drive business growth and innovation, such as critical talent planning and succession
- Provide coaching and guidance to senior executives on HR-related matters, including talent management, organizational design, and change management
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including consultants, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends
- Sharing best practices and knowledge across HR teams to drive consistency and excellence in HR service delivery
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with HR leaders and teams across the organization to drive collaboration and alignment
- A seasoned human resource professional with 10+ years of related business partnering experience, with a focus on strategic HR leadership and senior-level project management
- Experience supporting executive leadership within a high-tech manufacturing industry is an asset
- Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, CHRL certification or equivalent. MBA an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust with business leaders, HR peers and employees
- Experience with transformation and change management, including developing and implementing change management plans, communicating changes to employees, and providing coaching to leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR data and metrics to inform business decisions
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies to support them
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in using HR Analytics to make informed decisions and be able to measure impact (proficient in MS Office tools)
- Strong understanding of applicable employment and human rights legislation in BC
- Proven skills in coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, risk management, and relationship management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Effective and persuasive oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives
- Ability to travel 10% of time
