- Analyzing monthly, quarterly, and year-over-year results and trends; producing and updating rolling forecasts and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data and information.
- Conducting and evaluating what-if analysis on various business scenarios and Perform cost benefit or breakeven analysis on specified projects.
- Promoting consistent implementation and use of corporate financial policies, processes, guidelines and tools in order to maintain integrity, safeguard corporate assets, and mitigate risk.
- Providing financial planning, business analysis, and business decision support to the organization.
- Providing effective financial oversight and reviewing of project estimates, contracts, service agreements, and purchase commitments for accuracy and compliance with policy.
- Developing and maintaining analytics solutions to generate reports and data that will enable systemic improvement in CNL’s services on an ongoing and repeatable basis. Examples include: metrics reporting and analysis, service dashboards, savings reporting, contract compliance analysis
- Facilitating and providing operations and strategic analysis with recommendations in support of overall program and project delivery.
- Providing recommendations/oversight on program expenditures and revenues in support of the company’s financial management framework.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager.
- Completed post-secondary education in a related field, commerce, finance, economics, accounting, business administration;
- CPA designation is preferred
- 7-10 years’ experience in a financial business decision support role
- Knowledge of PowerBI is essential.
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis techniques, business analysis, and planning methodology
- Analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to think strategically and independently
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, investigate variances, and provide assessment of future impacts
- Good analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills with proven track record of effectively communicating actionable insights
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle financial reporting system is preferred
- Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security”.
- We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four-day work week and ten hours a day - starting at 6 am.
