- Lead the organization-wide management of policies and procedures.
- Edit, rewrite, and modernize policies to ensure clarity, compliance, and operational relevance.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to develop and refine policies.
- Align organizational policies with accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Ensure policies are actionable and effectively communicated to leadership for implementation.
- Oversee policy approval workflows and work closely with designated reviewers.
- Conduct comprehensive cleanup and restructuring within Surge Learning to eliminate outdated or redundant policies.
- Spearhead accreditation readiness and compliance initiatives for TCMH.
- Interpret accreditation standards and translate them into practical policy and operational requirements.
- Identify gaps and work with leadership to implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate documentation and evidence gathering to support accreditation processes.
- Work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization.
- Facilitate discussions to drive accountability and ensure timely completion of policy updates.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders in understanding and enacting policy changes.
- Longer-term oversight responsibility for organizational policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (required).
- Accreditation-related certification (preferred).
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Elder Care, or Healthcare (required).
- Experience in developmental services (asset).
- Demonstrated experience in policy writing, editing, and governance.
- Experience supporting or leading accreditation processes.
- Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret standards and translate them into operational policies.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable leading meetings and navigating complex or challenging conversations.
- Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new systems and training platforms (e.g., Surge Learning).
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Hybrid schedule: 1–2 days per week in office.
- Travel between locations required.
