- Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals and performance objectives.
- Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.
- Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.
- Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
- Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment.
- Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.
- A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
- Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by effectively managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style.
- Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.
- Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
