Maple Reinders Group is currently searching for a Benefits and Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Mississauga, Ontario. The Benefits and Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing and administering all employee benefits programs and assisting with payroll processes. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with all relevant regulations, and effective benefit administration to support our employees' well-being and satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Benefits Administration:
  • Manage and administer the full benefits program using Dayforce and Canada Life, including health, dental, life insurance and disability.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Provide employees with information on benefits programs and assist with any questions or issues,
  • Liaise with benefits providers and manage relationships to ensure smooth administration and process.
  • Ensure that all information in the benefit sponsor data is up to date according to monthly and yearly requirements.
  • Provide input and make improvements on current processes.
  • Ensure compliance to program policies and procedures.
Payroll Administration:
  • Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, employee data, and payroll adjustments.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding payroll issues.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, including year-end reports and T4s.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations and stay updated on any changes.
HR Support:
  • Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in the HRIS system.
  • Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and projects as needed.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations in Canada.
  • Experience with Dayforce Ceridian and Canada Life would be considered a strong asset
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
