- Manage and administer the full benefits program using Dayforce and Canada Life, including health, dental, life insurance and disability.
- Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Provide employees with information on benefits programs and assist with any questions or issues,
- Liaise with benefits providers and manage relationships to ensure smooth administration and process.
- Ensure that all information in the benefit sponsor data is up to date according to monthly and yearly requirements.
- Provide input and make improvements on current processes.
- Ensure compliance to program policies and procedures.
- Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, employee data, and payroll adjustments.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding payroll issues.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, including year-end reports and T4s.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations and stay updated on any changes.
- Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in the HRIS system.
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and projects as needed.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and wellness initiatives.
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations in Canada.
- Experience with Dayforce Ceridian and Canada Life would be considered a strong asset
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
