The RoleInfo-Tech Research Group is looking for a multi-skilled Video Editor (Social Media) to join the production team to edit and deliver engaging content that helps to build an audience / community. You have a passion for storytelling, a strong understanding of social media trends across platforms, and the ability to create visually compelling content that resonates with our target audience.You can do this quickly and well. In this role, you will assist the social media team and the Senior Vice President, Brand Reach & Influence, the Product Director, and Manager of Production in planning the scope and treatment of video projects, memes, and content. You will use videography, animation, editing techniques, and asset management to create compelling videos that promote Info-Tech’s products and services on the company website, social media, and other platforms.You know what makes a good soundbite and how to hook viewers visually often under tight timelines. You’ll also work alongside a talented team of producers as a tight-knit creative team.Responsibilities
  • Edit raw video using Premiere Pro & After Effects to align with company production standards and formats to elevate Info-Tech’s video presence online.
  • Create supporting video assets including title cards and logo animations in collaboration with the Design department.
  • You collaborate to conceptualize, storyboard, and edit video content ideas that are innovative, engaging, and on-brand – according to the platform.
  • You’ll produce and edit video content for social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube shorts etc.
  • You understand the importance of SEO and you monitor and analyze the performance of video content using analytics tools to optimize social strategies and improve engagement metrics.
  • You manage video production timelines, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of content.
  • You’re not afraid to be disruptive in this space.
  • You understand the timely approach to producing daily content.
  • Follow internal production protocols to ensure compliance with various requirements and reporting methods.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, developers, marketers, social media managers, researchers, and executives.
  • Ensure a consistent tone and “voice” that aligns with the company’s brand.
Education and Experience
  • You’re a content creator/editor with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in a fast-paced & dynamic video production space, with motion graphics, & video/audio editing
  • Adept at incorporating and manipulating motion graphics/animations with music to make videos compelling
  • Proven ability to work cross-team and incorporate feedback from key partners/stakeholders while managing workloads effectively
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver error-free content
  • Experience working in an agile, market-driven company an asset
Skills
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator in a Mac environment (entire Adobe suite an asset
  • Motion graphics experience: producing and manipulating 3D and 2D animations
  • Keen eye and ear for minute visual and audio details
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision at times
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Drawing/illustration skills an asset
  • Familiarity with JIRA project management software an asset
