As part of our team, you will drive acquisition activities across multiple industries globally, focusing on sourcing and supporting acquisitions of vertical-market software companies. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Proactively sourcing and qualifying mid-market software businesses that align with our strategic goals and financial/operational benchmarks, using tools like Salesforce CRM, trade show lists, and public reports.
  • Maintaining and expanding a proprietary database of key industry contacts.
  • Conducting industry research to support business development efforts.
  • Growing our prospect database by identifying businesses that fit our investment criteria.
  • Executing email campaigns and securing meetings with prospective companies.
  • Joining prospect calls, taking detailed notes, and assisting with meeting preparation.
  • Identifying relevant research organizations, advisory groups, and trade conferences.
  • Supporting the team on business development projects and providing ad-hoc analysis as needed.
You will be expected to work in our Mississauga office for a minimum of 3 days each week, connecting with a highly engaged team building out our global business. Our team and culture are high growth oriented and include a mix of seasoned founders, CEOs, sales & marketing, product leaders, as well as M&A and business development professionals who work hard and have fun doing it.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have or pursuing a relevant post-secondary degree in Business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident and professional presentation skills regardless of the stakeholder level
  • Self-motivated individual with an ability to perform independently in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is an asset
