Salary Range: $85,903.20- $104,992.80 annuallyCandidates applying for this position must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Instructor for John Deere Agriculture and Turf Training Center located in Regina, SK, you will develop and deliver various Agriculture and Turf training programs to dealers, company employees, and customers. Training programs include, but are not limited to products, services, and/or professional skills with heavy emphasis on product features, applications, and product system technologies. Training is primarily delivered in person and may also include distance and online learning. In addition, you will:
  • Take the lead role in the delivery of training and mentors less-experienced instructors
  • Take the lead role to develop/adapt content and training materials and activities for classes
  • Construct and maintain training aids, simulators and classroom exercises
  • Research training topics to increase subject matter expertise
  • Utilize knowledge of training to promote training products, systems, and materials
  • Be responsible for classroom/training event administration (acquiring roster, taking enrollment, completing exit evaluations) and communicating results to appropriate personnel or system
  • Work with field managers and dealers to establish needs
What Skills You Need
  • Strong mechanical skills with relevant farm/heavy duty machinery knowledge and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective writing skills
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) within Canada and the US to meet business needs
  • Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Knowledge of learning and development process including instructional skills, presentation skills, needs assessments, adult learning theory, curriculum development
  • Previous experience or knowledge of dealers and other channels
  • Marketing and/or product support experience
  • Strong presentation skills via multi-media methods
  • An understanding of precision ag technology and its application in the agricultural field
Education Details
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Agriculture or a related field, or equivalent work experience
