As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software development and system administration, with a passion for automating operational tasks and implementing best practices for infrastructure as code.What You Love To DoInfrastructure Automation:Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi.Automate routine tasks and operational processes to enhance system reliability and efficiency.Monitoring and Incident Response:Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions for infrastructure, applications, and services.Collaborate with development teams to define and implement alerting thresholds.Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident analysis.Performance Optimization:Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system components for better scalability and efficiency.Conduct capacity planning to anticipate and address future infrastructure requirements.Security and Compliance:Implement security best practices for AWS environments, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.Work closely with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Continuous Improvement:Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and operational processes.Conduct regular reviews of incident reports and implement preventative measures to avoid recurring issues.Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and support, to ensure a cohesive and reliable system.Share expertise and knowledge through documentation, training, and mentorship.Disaster Recovery and Resilience:Assist with the development and execution of plans to ensure business continuity in case of infrastructure failures.Test and validate disaster recovery procedures regularly.Cost Optimization:Work on optimizing AWS costs through effective resource utilization, reserved instances, and monitoring.Qualifications5+ years of relevant professional experience.Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.Strong proficiency in AWS services and a solid understanding of cloud architecture.Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript, Python, Bash, or Ruby.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like ECS or Kubernetes.Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.About UsRAZR is a fast-growing marketing technology company headquartered in the Twin Cities, and we count some of the world’s most recognized brands among our clients.
