Summary of DutiesTo provide Social Work services to families in the Women and Babies Program at an advanced level of practice within an interprofessional model. Services include psychosocial assessments, counselling, linking families to supportive community resources, consultation and collaboration with the interprofessional team.Qualifications/Skills
Member of the Ontario College of SWSSW in good standing
MSW with significant recent related experience with Perinatal focus in a clinical (hospital) setting
Demonstrated experience dealing with issues of assault and abuse, diversity, mental health, substance use, child protection issues and CAS is preferred
Excellent communication, organization skills and time management skills required
Knowledge of the health care system and community resources required
Superior ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated achievement in research, education and/or quality improvement projects is an asset
