Workforce Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Utility 2 to assist a client located in Timmins, ON! Working under the guidance of the Shift Leader and following all safety rules and company procedures, this role involves running the packaging equipment and anything related to it. It also includes testing products, helping out with other tasks around the mill to keep things running smoothly and safely, and keeping the work area clean and organized.Why Apply?

Responsibilities:
  • Fully supports the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance and enforcement as well as compliance with Corporate programs and policies
  • Utility 2 primary duties will be to operate, maintain and trouble shoot Pellet Mill 1 circuit and all of its associated equipment
  • Properly takes the required product samples and performs In-Process Quality Control tests to ensure that quality standards are being met
  • Will keep PM#1 bagging stations running as needed
  • Responsible for checking, loading, weighing, and loading trucks for shipment during the week/weekend as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining pellet mill dies and communicating the need for additional die changes as needed to the shift leader or Mill supervisor
  • Utility 2 and leader will work closely together to develop the best method of operation for them to work as a team on their shift. They must determine, on a shift-by-shift basis, the best methods of working together to accomplish their respective duties and responsibilities
  • Provides labor as needed throughout the facility
  • Will work rotating shifts as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area
  • Performs any other duties as directed by Production Supervisor/Plant Manager
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer skills and accuracy required (basic excel and data entry)
  • Organizational Skills
  • Stair climbing, standing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferably 1-2 years in a Mineral processing facility
  • Basic Mill Common Core training program
  • Takes additional training as necessary
  • May be required to instruct or assist in the instruction or training of others
  • Forklift Training and Certification
  • First Aid Certification
Pay Rate: $31.73Schedule: 5/5/4 schedule, 12 hour shifts, rotating days and nights.We thank you for your interest.
