This is a full-time, exempt-level position.Job Description:
The successful candidate will manage and grow ADM Milling & Baking Solutions' product portfolio through prospecting and growing new and existing customers in Ontario, Canada. ADM Milling & Baking Solutions' product portfolio includes standard wheat flours, whole wheat and whole grain flours, specialty flours (corn, barley, durum semolina, rye, farina, bulgur, tapioca, wheat bran, wheat germ and sorghum), specialty products (wheat proteins and wheat starches) and Bakery Mixes, Base and Concentrate. In addition, this position will promote ADM's growing ingredient capabilities to customers and represent ADM at industry meetings and tradeshows. Additional responsibilities include cross-functional and cross-divisional collaboration with Sales Managers, Commercial Managers, Trading/Risk Management, Plant Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, Quality, Credit and Technical Service groups to meet business goalsResponsibilities:
- Work closely with our customer-facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for target market segments and customers
- Selling in both face-to-face and digital customer environments
- Leverage selling analytics and make recommendations on how to improve financials of market segments and customers serviced
- Ultimately responsible for effective management of ancillary charges (knowing the cost to serve) and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivables
- Wholly responsible for customer contracting activities
- Be a recognized customer expert and key point of contact for Milling & Baking Solutions
- Develop and maintain up-to-date fact-based customer development plans
- Analyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future account growth
- Active use and implementation of Salesforce.com
- Establish and maintain professional relationships within Milling & Baking Solutions in addition to other ADM Business Units
- Ability to work as a team player
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven service and customer focus with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships/partnerships with management, R&D, purchasing, marketing, supply chain and plant staff
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and report developments to cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of the baking industry, standard and specialty flours, wheat protein and starches and commodity markets is a plus.
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing or related field is preferred with a minimum of five years' sales and marketing experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Salesforce.com and Microsoft software, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce.com)
- Willingness to travel (25-40%)
