At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.When you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.About the PositionThe Marketing and Design Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the growth and visibility of our geochemistry laboratory services through the creation of compelling marketing materials, digital communications, and trade show branding. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in both graphic design and marketing, and the ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear, engaging content. Success in this position will require close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including technical experts, business development teams, and management, to ensure consistency, accuracy, and impact across all marketing initiatives.Specific ResponsibilitiesLead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to promote geochemistry methods and services.Develop and update promotional materials for new innovations, analytical methods, software offerings, and laboratory capabilities.Author technically accurate content, including technical notes and service briefs, to support the launch of new methodologies and enhancements.Collaborate with technical teams to understand service offerings and translate them into client-facing content.Collaborate with MPTS and Geoanalytics divisions to develop unified, cross-functional marketing campaigns that reflect integrated service offerings and strategic alignment.Manage and update the laboratory’s Schedule of Services and Fees, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and visual consistency.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure service documentation reflects current capabilities, pricing structures, and market trends.Ensure all design work aligns with brand guidelines and collaborate closely with the corporate marketing team to maintain consistency across global communications.Design engaging digital and print materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, infographics, and case studies.Develop visual assets for internal and external campaigns, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.Design and oversee booth graphics and layouts for industry trade shows and conferences, enhancing brand presence.Plan, create, and manage social media content on LinkedIn to promote company capabilities, thought leadership, and events.Create and manage geochemistry-related content on our website to keep information current and engaging.Track and analyze social media performance, adjusting strategies to optimize reach and engagementConduct market research to identify client needs, competitor activities and industry trends.Manage client feedback surveys for Geochemistry and MPTS, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Organize and maintain content libraries, including templates, images, and collateral for efficient reuse.Own and manage client-facing digital interfaces, including rollout planning, demos, and user experience optimization.Manage and optimize geochemistry location listings on Google, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information and enhanced local visibility.Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;Other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong written communication skills, with the ability to craft technical yet accessible content for a variety of audiences.Strong copywriting and editing skills.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Canva, and Microsoft Office.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, or similar).Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Ability to balance creative design with strategic marketing objectives.Photography or video production/editing skills.Required QualificationsDegree or diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in a marketing or design role (experience in a scientific or technical field is an asset).Our Benefits IncludeAn estimated hourly pay of $30.00 CAD at the time of posting.
