In the role of Senior Financial Analyst working in Toronto, ON, you will be part of the Commercial Finance team. In this role you will provide finance support to various functions inside and outside of finance for budgeting, planning/forecasting, reporting and analysis in a variety of areas.This position reports directly to the Finance Controller, Six Pints and works closely with our marketing and sales organization.What You'll Be Brewing:
- Use accounting principles and knowledge of internal controls in preparing accurate, complete and timely financial reporting of marketing and trade expenditures.
- Monitor and communicate business results, including variance analysis of actual spend versus budget, forecast, and previous year.
- Work with business partners to develop and consolidate monthly forecasting and annual budgets.
- Use financial analytics to develop insights and recommendations to help drive business results.
- Educate commercial team on financial acumen, local finance policies and procedures
- • Support financial analysis across multiple commercial lines of business, including revenue, COGS, and operating expenses.
- • Partner with Sales, Operations, and other commercial teams to support forecasting, business cases, and performance analysis.
- • Support month-end activities by ensuring accuracy, controls, and compliance in reported financials.
- You have a university degree with (or working towards) accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- You have 2-3 years relevant work experience
- You have experience in business with high volume of transactions, strong Excel skills, and an understanding of financial software (SAP preferred)
- You have strong analytical skills, attention to details, and critical thinking capabilities, and you can effectively work in a team environment
- You are confident, professional, and an effective communicator capable in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the business
