As a Laboratory Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring product quality through hands-on inspections that make a real impact. Based onsite at PPG's Toronto ASC Office, you'll report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager while collaborating with industry experts every day.Come elevate your career with the PPG Aerospace Quality team!Key ResponsibilitiesFollow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.Be involved in physical inspection and/or testing of raw materials as well as in process and finished goods. Tests conducted may include visual, dimensional, etc.Performing internal auditing.Calibration of equipment, housekeeping and disposing of material and product.Following specifications, SOPs and industry standards for inspection of parts.Upholding safety standards for the team, and this includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of laboratory/inspection or related experience.Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and craft a collaborative & inclusive work environment.Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and to take the necessary steps to avoid future errors.Digital literacy in ERP System (QAD preferred) and Microsoft Suite.The base salary range for this position is $47,500 to $57,500 CAD, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 2.5% of base salary.
