DD&I and Civil Engineering Specialist

- Delivering documentation including Method Statements, Scope of works and technical reviews
- Co-ordinate with sub-contactors and oversee minor civil works and field investigations (DD&I)
- Review and sign off Installation Test Plans (ITPs), lifting plans and conduct quality checks
- Managing installation tools and ensuring regular inspections and calibration
- Conducting site surveys to identify potential constraints and reporting them to the design team
- Assessing progress reports and generating internal action plans to address challenges
- Ensuring “as built” and “as installed” documentation is completed before revenue service
- Ability to work night / weekend / Holidays as per operational requirements and site access
- Engineering degree in Civil Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of Geotechnical investigations and Subsurface Utility Engineering
- Certified in AutoCAD and/or other design tools (desirable)
- P.Eng certification or in progress
- Strong knowledge of railway products and services across different market segments (Urban, Mainline, Freight, and Product).
- 5+ years of experience in railway construction projects
- Local knowledge of the rail infrastructure in the Greater Toronto Area (desirable)
- Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards
- Proficiency in BIM, AutoCAD, or MicroStation to create/modify 2D drawings (desirable)
- Experience in managing projects with Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in office and field environments under seasonal conditions, adhering to safety rules
