The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal leadeership role across multiple plants, acting as a Finance Business Partner with a focus on operational & financial analysis.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department at plant level
  • Month, quarter and end-year process general ledger and key ERP interfaces budgeting
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Participate in monthly review of financial operating results with plant leadership team with a focus on driving profitability
  • Identify process improvement or waste reduction opportunities
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports which highlight and explain significant variances between actual results and Budget for the businesses
  • Prepare specific analyses and explanations for the business including Customer sales volume and price, Supply and production volume, plant fixed costs, Logistics (freight and distribution costs), Productivity initiatives and other analyses as required
  • Standard costing calculation and updates, including inventory valuation

  • Proven working experience (3-5 years) as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • A professional accounting designation is preferred
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Ability to display initiative and leadership when handling multiple job responsibilities, setting priorities, problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and driving process improvements
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
