The North Bay, Ontario plant operates 24/7 and involves a variety of extrusion, plastic and textile processing equipment.OVERVIEW:

Permanent Full-Time
12-hour Rotating Continental Shift Schedule
Base Rate: $21.93/hour gradually increasing (based on CBA)
Evening Shift Premium, Night Shift Premium, Sunday Shift Premium

Responsibilities:The Production Operator will perform various tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and plant efficiency by supporting production, inspection of products and packaging needs throughout the facility. Production Operator will take pride in their safety mindset, attention to quality and excellent attendance.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job duties vary by area of assignment (Extrusion, Beaming, Weaving, Finishing).
Responsible for overall operation of assigned production equipment and/or process.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Must be 18 years of age.
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing is considered an asset.
Experience with shift work is considered an asset.
Legally entitled to work in Canada.

COMPETENCIES:LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in the English language.
Strong communication skills

Basic computer skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic mathematical skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Must be able to work Continental shift work (12 hour Days, 12 hour Nights)
