MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join our team in our Edmonton office.Englobe is committed to providing accommodation to, and working with, applicants with disabilities, to meet their needs throughout the recruitment, selection and/or employment process.
Your Contribution
  • Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
  • Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties
  • Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists
Your Profile
  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA (P.Eng).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
  • Working and project knowledge in Western Canada
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems
  • Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis
  • Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
  • Self-motivated with leadership potential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Typical Projects:
  • Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
  • Development of water treatment and pumping facilities
  • Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities
  • Infrastructure assessments and studies
