Screed Operator - Stony Plain

• Operate screed, anticipating and react to grade changes
• Understand job specific requirements
• Read and understand grade and slope requirements
• Assist with site lay out makings
• Use depth gauges and visual checks to maintain the required compacted thickness
• Monitor mat quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth, uniform finish
• Complete equipment inspections and do routine maintenance of equipment before and after use
• Follow all company safety procedures and site requirements while staying alert to changing surroundings
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members

• Two years preferred experience operating a screed with strong attention to detail
• Good understanding of grade control and asphalt paving processes
• Ability to work as part of a crew in variable outdoor conditions and in a physically demanding environment
• Committed to a safe & accountable team environment
• Able to communicate effectively and respectfully
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
