- College Diploma or University Degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and possess or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Proficiency in Oral/Written English communication
- 4+ years’ experience in an outside sales
- Experience in the heavy equipment or heavy truck industry preferred
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs
- Experience and understanding of the full sales cycle
- Experience working with Municipalities or bid/tender processes
- Demonstrated sales acumen and achievement of sale results
- Be responsible for all sales activities (prospecting/hunting through to equipment delivery) within assigned territory with a focus on increasing sales year over year, in alignment with established targets
- Collaborate and work effectively with the Inside Sales team for administrative and customer support
- Collaborate with the Service and Parts teams to support customers and provide solutions to customers
- Manage existing customer base by calling on customers and spending time understanding their ongoing equipment requirements
- Prospect, build and maintain new customer relationships within the territory
- Provide demonstrations and training as required to effectively represent the product lines represented within the territory
- Attend industry events, training or tradeshows to ensure up-to-date knowledge on JJE products and to represent JJE in the industry
- Understand the market within the territory and provide reports to Management related to new opportunities and competitive landscape
- Complete additional assignments as required
- 80% - 90% within the territory
- Must reside in the province of Alberta within commuting distance to Calgary
