Start date: September 2025About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, international engineering projects. You'll own the full project lifecycle from proposal and kickoff through design, procurement, construction/installation, commissioning, and closeout while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and clients across time zones. Experience in the amusement ride industry is a strong asset. Familiarity with Japanese (spoken and written) is an important advantage for supplier and customer interfaces.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
- Develop and manage project charter, WBS, baseline schedule, cost control, and risk register.
- Drive stakeholder alignment; facilitate effective meetings, status updates, and executive briefings.
- Oversee contracts and procurement (RFPs, vendor selection, change orders, claims).
- Implement robust change management, issue/risk mitigation, and lessons learned.
- Interface with international suppliers and clients; support cultural/language dynamics (Japan experience a plus).
- This job might include some limited international travel.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- PMPĀ® certification (active/maintained).
- 5+ years of project management experience, with proven delivery of international projects over $5M.
- Demonstrated experience in PM for electrical engineering projects (industrial, infrastructure, or similar).
- Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project or Primavera P6), cost control, and earned value.
- Strong contract and vendor management skills; excellent communication in English.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
- Experience in projects in the amusement ride/theme park sector.
- Japanese language familiarity.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field).
- Knowledge of relevant safety and ride/industrial standards and commissioning best practices.
