Amrize Construction is looking for a skilled and reliable Grader Operator to join our team. This position plays a key role in preparing and finishing surfaces for construction projects. The successful candidate will operate motor graders and related equipment to ensure precise grading, proper drainage, and high-quality groundwork for roads, sites, and other infrastructure projects.We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, operates equipment safely, and understands the importance of accuracy and efficiency on a job site.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Deliver precise grading that ensures proper drainage and foundation preparation
- Help keep projects running on schedule by operating efficiently and safely
- Contribute to the quality and durability of roads, building pads, and site infrastructure
- Support the success of our construction crews through reliable equipment operation
- Shape and level surfaces to project specifications and grade requirements
- Assist with building and maintaining roadways, pads, drainage systems, and other earthwork tasks
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and other operators to maintain project timelines
- Grading within site tolerances as per specifications
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Work Experience: Experience operating motor graders in road construction
Required Training/Certifications: Valid Driver's License.Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read grade stakes, site plans, and elevations
- Strong understanding of site preparation and grading techniques
- Commitment to safety and proper equipment operation
- Ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and survey markings
- Amrize-approved PPE, including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
