
Intermediate Marine Structural Engineer

- Lead detailed design efforts for maritime and transportation structures.
- Produce design documentation, including criteria, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and prepare preliminary capital cost estimates.
- Support project execution with field services during construction phases.
- Participate in structural inspections and compile field inspection reports when needed.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to define client needs, assemble compelling proposals, and develop schedules and estimate budgets.
- Engage regularly with a range of stakeholders—clients, subconsultants, contractors, and government agencies—to support clear, efficient project delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and value-driven work culture through positive internal and external interactions.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, particularly involving maritime or transportation infrastructure projects.\
- Registration as—or eligibility for registration as—a Professional Engineer (e.g., Engineers and Geoscientists BC).
- A graduate-level degree in civil and/or structural engineering
- Exceptional interpersonal and client communication skills.
- Proficiency in technical writing and report development
- Relevant experience working on projects within the Pacific Northwest region.
- Comfort working in outdoor environments, including industrial or construction settings.
- This position is available in British Columbia—specifically in Burnaby
- Salary range: $90,000 to $140,000 CAD per year, with opportunities for overtime pay and a comprehensive benefits package including dental, extended health, RRSP matching, paid time off, and more.
