
Parts Person - Peterbilt

- Unloading, receiving, and storing incoming parts and other materials in the warehouse and yard
- Locate parts and other materials, and ship to customers and other branches
- Provide assistance to branch service technicians as required
- Place inventory stock orders
- Make inventory and bin adjustments
- Accurately and completely document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information
- Use parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems
- Other duties as required
- Effective Customer Service skills and able to build lasting partnerships with customers both over the phone and in person
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate peak seasons; including working shift, weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proven leadership and decision making skills required.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Must be able to work in a high pressure environment safely.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and company policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, customers and the general public.
- Effective problem solving skills
- Solid foundation of parts/warehousing knowledge and skills
- Previous experience in the parts industry preferred
- Journeyperson Certification is considered an asset
- Experience working within the Heavy Duty Truck, fabrication and/or manufacturing industry considered an asset but not required
