Our products are beautiful, and they are built to last through higher standards and authentic materials.We are currently looking for a Maintenance Utilities team member to join our team.You will be responsible for garbage collection throughout the plant and disposal, with a strong focus on dust control maintenance, and you will be involved in general preventative maintenance duties.Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pmIn this role, you will:
  • Clean assigned work areas and garbage collection of plant
  • Wood block management (feeding boiler and grinding blocks, and transportation to and from storage)
  • Delivering water to departments within the plant
  • Loading of waste barrels and disposal of ashes
  • Removal and handling of rag barrels
  • Organize/clean up storage areas
  • Clean grates in shipping area
  • Keep compound clean and orderly
  • Assist with snow removal
  • Perform and record pre-trip inspections as required in carrying out responsibilities
  • Perform dust management cleaning and maintenance
  • Maintenance activities and assisting mechanical staff as assigned/required
  • Other duties as assigned by managers and maintenance leaders
You will bring:
  • Positive work experience in current position
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, in English
  • Ability to read and understand written work orders
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment
  • Ability to work at heights (scissor lifts, ladders, scaffolding, genie boom, etc)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time
  • Previous experience as a maintenance worker preferred
  • Must obtain Transportation of Dangerous Good certification
  • Must obtain a Class 3 license with Air endorsement
