As part of the service team, the Service Manager is responsible for the effective management of all aspects of the Service Department, which ensures customer satisfaction and maximum profitability.
- Schedule, manage, and maintain technicians to maximize efficiency while minimizing overhead
- Generate and promote service business through direct calls, targeted advertising, and Mazergroup's preventative maintenance programs
- Work with customers and technicians to explain repairs and expenses, resolve complaints, and offer value-added and/or preventative maintenance services
- Create, maintain, track, and close service work orders for such things as new equipment assembly, pre-delivery inspections, customer repairs, installations, etc. , on various manual and electronic systems
- Meet and exceed department budget and targets
- Co-Chair for Health and Safety Committee for the dealership, and always promoting a highly safety-conscious environment

- 5+ years in a leadership role would be an asset
- A journeyperson in AET or HDET would be an asset
- Advanced management/leadership skills to manage a highly technical staff, shop, and projects, including effective employee scheduling
- Advanced knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
- Supervisory experience would be considered an asset
- Marketing experience would be viewed as an asset
- Customer service in a sales and service capacity/environment
- Mid-level technical knowledge
- Basic knowledge of financial statements and creation of annual budgets
- Strong Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, web browsing
- Ability to travel 2-3 times per year to Company and Vendor Training sessions
- A valid driver’s license is required
