- Monday, 9am-5pm
- Wednesday, 9am-5pm
- Friday, 9am-2pm
- Post job openings and coordinate recruitment activities
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews
- Conduct reference checks
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Ensure completion of new hire paperwork
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee files
- Update HRIS systems with employee data changes
- Track probationary periods, performance review timelines, and contract renewals
- Prepare employment verification letters and other HR documentation
- Assist with payroll data collection and submission
- Support benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefit inquiries
- Liaise with benefit providers as needed
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies and procedures
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR programs
- Assist with performance management processes
- Help coordinate training and development activities
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and workplace regulations
- Support policy updates and distribution
- Assist with health and safety documentation and reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- CHRP designation (or working toward) is considered an asset
- 1+ years of HR or administrative experience (preferred)
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (asset)
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently or within a collaborative team
- Ability to learn and use systems and processes effectively
- Passion for the work of the organization and a desire to positively impact the community
