Description :The Opportunity:Located in South Edmonton, be part of an accomplished team committed to delivering best-in-class service and technical expertise in a busy shop specializing in Allison transmission, engine repairs and overhauls.The Role:Heavy Equipment Technicians work Monday to Friday with occasional overtime opportunities. Your expertise will be key in ensuring first-time-right diagnostics and repair of, but not limited to:
  • Allison transmissions
  • Detroit and MTU Truck and Industrial engines
Education:
  • Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician.
Work Experience:
  • 2-3 years relevant experience
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Safety focused
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keep your work areas, benches, and toolboxes clean and organized
  • Proven ability to work with customers, demonstrating exceptional customer service
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with on-highway truck/coach maintenance and repair are assets
  • Coordinating with supervisors, administration, and workers, for the purpose of completing all work orders efficiently and effectively
  • Work under limited supervision, leading, guiding and working with others, as required
  • Fill out required paperwork. This would include forms such as work orders, hazard assessment sheets, daily time sheets, and repair lists
  • Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and replace parts and equipment/controls as required
  • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of all equipment or assets
  • CVIP license is preferred but not mandatory
  • Class 3 Driver's license with Air Endorsement is preferred, but not mandatory
