- Develop, own and manage quality documentation and assure full alignment with Corporate policies,
- Support managers and process owners to keep Procedures, Guidelines and Manuals current and in compliance with Corporate requirements,
- Support generation of new / required procedures and instructions as necessary,
- Develop and implement a robust document structure for the Materiel Certification and Quality Support Teams, which align with customer and QA requirements,
- Optimize relevant documents for Function Efficiency such as Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed (RACI) matrix's, Process maps, procedure's interrelations, and authorization registrars,
- Design and manage Training Plans in coordination with fist line managers,
- Write Quality Plan for new projects,
- Design tools to consolidated requirements, specifications, and standards; to facilitate referencing and accessibility,
- Support the optimization and maintenance of our SharePoint sites,
- Develop checklists and verification tools that integrate complex and extensive requirements to optimize verification of record packages,
- Collaborate with Engineering in the clarification of requirements that may affect product and work records,
- Support investigation of technical problems, risk assessments, corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating feedback into standard processes and procedures into the function,
- Collaborate with QA department in relation to internal and external audits for the Waterfront group,
- Establish effective metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reports for relevant meetings, to monitor function performance aligned with Goals and Objectives,
- Create, and deliver awareness materials to facilitate understanding of materiel certification requirements across all waterfront areas,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality management, product quality and quality control, preferably in a complex engineering environment,
- A post-secondary education in an Engineering or Technology related field,
- Certification as a Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Black Belt Six Sigma, or any other relevant Quality Certification form a recognized institution,
- Experience in a highly regulated industry with complex quality standards, ISO 9001 or similar, regulatory, or specific industry standards,
- Deep knowledge and experience in managing and understanding of product drawings and specifications,
- Strong skills in process improvement, with preference for qualifications in LEAN, implementation, FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), First Article Inspection Process,
- Experience managing large data sets, with skills in data analytics,
- Ability to use the suite of MS Office, and SharePoint,
- Excellent written and oral communication skills,
- Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Clearances
