- Ensuring the alignment of existing infrastructure against security models such as NIST and PURDUE.
- Maintain and support the IT/OT environment across a broad range of areas including routing, switching, voice, wireless, security, DNS, and load balancing platforms and technologies.
- Administration experience with the full Microsoft environment, switches, firewalls and other core networking applications.
- Monitor IT/OT networks to ensure network availability to pre-agreed Service Levels and provide support accordingly.
- Create standardized environment through best practice, inventory management, templating, provisioning, and auditing/reporting.
- Maintain systems across a broad IT/OT hybrid network. (On prem and cloud-based solutions)
- Integrate network-connected systems such as servers, storage, workstations, cameras, and cloud systems for optimal security and performance.
- Leverage observability tools to build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and config backups across the network topology.
- Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot a broad range of level 1 through level 3 IT support requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed and address critical issues during off hours as needed.
- Proven track record with 5 years of experience administering IT and Industrial Networks and applications.
- This will include components of designing and implementing complete network infrastructure, as well as integrating partial upgrades in a variety of environments, from network infrastructure to copper and fiber cabling, to configurations with the goal of having a system that is highly reliable and simple to manage.
- Proven and demonstratable knowledge of both business and industrial networking technologies and communication protocols.
- Strong technical curiosity, security-minded, and a "let's figure it out" attitude.
- Experience managing systems on the network – Servers, PLC’s, HMI, SAN, NAS, Workstations, Phone systems, IP Cameras,
- Experience with network observability, management, and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science from an accredited university
- 5 + years experience required
- Current active certification on Microsoft or CISCO Enterprise Networking
- Industrial Networking or Control Systems Certification required
- Must be able to work on location in Dubreuilville, ON 7/7 cross-shift
- Experience with LTE networks, Dell, Cisco, and Microsoft environments
- Experience working in mining or heavy industry in remote environments is an asset
- No issues with rolling up your sleeves and getting all levels of IT work done
- Availability outside of business hours for emergencies and maintenance work as part of a small team
