From highways and roadways to complex construction projects, our reputation has been built on quality workmanship, safety and long-standing relationships with our customers and the communities we work in.Border Paving Ltd. is currently hiring an Asphalt Paver Operator for the upcoming construction season. This skilled field position involves the safe and efficient operation of asphalt paving equipment in both urban and rural environments while supporting daily paving production, grade accuracy and mat quality.Job Responsibilities

Safely operate mechanical asphalt pavers of various sizes and configurations
Maintain proper alignment, grade and mat thickness in accordance with project specifications
Understand and work with grade and slope control systems
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance and report mechanical concerns
Maintain safe operating practices in active construction sites
Follow all company safety procedures and participate in daily hazard assessments
Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends and out of town work during the construction season (May – November)

Qualifications

Experience operating asphalt pavers in a road construction environment
Strong understanding of asphalt paving processes
Familiarity with grade and slope control systems
Ability to communicate clearly with crews and supervisors
Physically capable of performing labour intensive tasks
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
