  • Recruitment range: $65,860- $72,607 starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.
  • Performance range: $85,633 salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases.
Job SummaryMandate:
As a unit within the Division of Student Affairs, the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) is responsible for providing institutional leadership in the delivery of a comprehensive student-focused accessible learning model and delivers training and education to further the University's commitment to provide equal access to all academic programs. CAL is a core academic support unit for both students and faculty and contributes to the recruitment and retention of students and fosters services and programs that value academic success, inclusion, accessibility, and universally designed environments.Reporting to the Manager, CAL Assessment Program, the Supervisor, CAL Assessment Program, is responsible for supervision of front-line exam staff, developing policies and procedures supporting the day-to-day operations of the CAL Assessment Program, and supporting the Manager in accommodated assessment programming.Objectives:
  • Support the development of systems that impact everyday administrative demands and assist the Manager in meeting operational goals of the CAL Assessment Program.
  • Maintain effective day-to-day operations of the CAL Assessment Program through recruitment, training, and ongoing support of front-line staff.
  • Facilitate and promote accessible programming and approaches across the University community through effective communication, negotiation, and consensus-building tools.
  • Employ professional communication strategies with stakeholders who are adversarial or present communication challenges.
There may be times where working hours extend to evenings/weekends to meet service plan goals at periods of peak demand, or to participate in employee training and external events.Job RequirementsThis position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in an area related to this position , plus two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
