This is an exciting locum opportunity offering competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and the chance to work in a high-impact environment with supportive specialist teams.About the Opportunity:Work Setting: Busy single-coverage Emergency Department with 18,000 annual patient visitsCatchment Area: 50,000+ patients across 15% of Canada's total landmass (including the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut)Specialist Support: 24/7 access to Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, and RadiologyFacility: Full acute care services with modern equipment and interdisciplinary collaborationShift Structure:2 Days (8 hrs)2 Evenings (8 hrs)2 Nights (8 hrs)Occasional 12-hour shifts (not typical)No on-call requirementsCompensation:Day (8 hrs): $2,500Evening (8 hrs): $2,500Night (8 hrs): $3,20012-Hour Day Shift (7AM-7PM): $3,75012-Hour Night Shift (7PM-7AM): $4,800No overhead feesFull admin/practice support includedBenefits & Incentives:Travel & accommodation fully coveredAccommodations typically within walking distance of the hospitalCMPA coverage eligibleLicensure support providedFlexible schedules & part-time locum options consideredWho We're Looking For:Physicians with CCFP-EM designation (required)Previous experience in ER settings preferredComfortable working independently in high-volume environmentsPassionate about serving northern and remote communitiesIf you're looking for meaningful locum work in a welcoming and professionally supportive environment-this opportunity offers it all.
