- Assist with planning, scoping, and IT risk assessment activities, with a focus on identifying technology- Support the planning and scoping of IT risk activities by gathering data and assisting with preliminary assessments.
- Learn about business applications, system architecture, and automated workflows that support key processes.
- Assist in reviewing automated and general IT controls (e.g., access, change management, operations) under supervision.
- Help conduct IT risk assessments and contribute to the development of basic control documentation and test procedures.
- Prepare process documentation such as flowcharts and control matrices with guidance from senior team members.
- Use tools like Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to help with reporting and simple automation tasks.
- Identify and suggest basic opportunities to improve controls using technology, with support from senior staff.
- Provide support to internal and co-sourced teams during control testing and effectiveness reviews.
- Document IT control observations and assist in tracking remediation efforts.
- Help evaluate control deficiencies and contribute to summary reports.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand control gaps and assist in remediation efforts.
- Keep team members informed of progress and escalate issues when needed.
- Build positive working relationships with Digital and business process teams through regular communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline preferred.
- CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent (in progress or completed).
- 5+ years in SOX/CSOX with strong ICFR knowledge.
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and control frameworks
- Understanding of IT general, automated, and business controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Access, and Power Platform tools.
- Industry knowledge in gas Midstream and/or Utilities is an asset.
- Strong multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% (domestic/international); valid driver’s license required.
