- Product Expertise - In depth knowledge of the Voila product within the Ecommerce Solution Team Portfolio. Maintain up-to-date expertise in the Voila product and support the team in translating product requirements into enhancements and or fixes
- Product Support - Provide specialized Level 2 & 3 product support. Identify the root cause of issues, and triage with the appropriate team. Help prioritize the backlog and coordinate necessary configuration or code changes. Source additional support from other teams/stakeholders to resolve underlying issues as needed. Maintain product documentation and required changes to user documentation as incidents are resolved.
- Application Performance Management - Monitor the Voila product and its components across dimensions such as end-user experience, application interfaces, runtime code exceptions and performance. Recommend enhancements as needed.
- Product Development - Support the Ecommerce Solution Team at each phase of the development life cycle: Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), design, build, testing, deployment, and release. Design the product to ensure both the business and architectural needs are met including adhering to standards, patterns, and reference models.
- Operational Innovation - Identify opportunities to automate processes, or otherwise innovate on business operations using product features.
- Continuous Improvement - Support continuous improvement initiatives through advisory and consultative support. Proactively share new leading practices.
- Communication - Keep appropriate team members and other teams updated on product backlog status, incidents, and projects, as appropriate. Serve as the liaison between vendors, users, and product teams as needed.
- Risk Mitigation - Observe and communicate potential application risks and improvements in support of effective issue prevention and risk mitigation.
- Work closely with the IT Service Centre, IT Infrastructure and vendors to resolve all product incidents / requests in a timely manner.
- As part of the Ecommerce Solution Team, works closely with the Business Engagement Team to provide product support and product enhancements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post-Secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven track record in product management.
- Expert knowledge of concepts and tools used for ecommerce/website/mobile applications e.g., business processes or systems and underlying information technologies.
- Business acumen, coupled with a good understanding and awareness of ecommerce and mobile apps.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- System analysis experience, hands-on testing and requirement gathering experience.
- Experience with Agile Place would be an asset.
- Negotiation Skills.
- Agile / Scrum / DevOps Delivery Methodology.
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence.
- Experience in working with outsourced service providers and vendor management.
- Bilingual English/French an asset.
- The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada.
