Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.In 2024, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR 6.515 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.Job DescriptionExpand Eurofins' capabilities by adding an on-site, small-scale formulation laboratory.New Product Development:Develop formulations for Personal Care, Skin Care, and Color Cosmetics products.Follow industry standards for scientific integrity, accuracy, safety, and record-keeping.Optimize ingredient formulations to meet cost objectives and manage raw material availability.Create and optimize formulations for:Skincare (moisturizers, cleansers, toners, masks)Hair care (shampoos, conditioners, styling products)Bath and body (body wash, lotions)General cleansing (liquid and foaming hand soap, hand sanitizer)Specialty products (sunscreen, acne treatments, anti-aging products)Prototypes and small-batch samplesExecute project commitments and develop contingency plans as needed.Demonstrate knowledge of stability testing and accurately record results.Test substances for composition, properties, structures, and reactions.Prepare research proposals including analytical, technical, and financial data for the development and testing of new or improved products.Identify abnormalities during testing and implement corrective actions.Review competitive products and trade publications; prepare comparative reports on performance, raw materials, and industry trends.Monitor laboratory equipment operations and maintain a clean working environment.Plan, execute, and oversee laboratory research programs and technologies.Train and supervise scientific staff.Qualifications✓ Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent science.
✓ 7 years in Personal Care product formulation.
✓ Knowledge of industry trends latest & updated.
✓ Motivated and works well in teams and independently.
✓ Requires strong communication skills.
✓ Must be able to collaborate with groups to help address product / formula issues.
✓ Able to work on project independently and take extra step to get the job done.
✓ Able to handle different types of product formulation.
✓ Able to work with short timelines, manage multiple projects with competing dates.
✓ Able to identify safe & effective ingredients for use.
✓ Flexible to develop new products & to think out of the box.Working Conditions: This position is based in a laboratory environment; significant time spent standing at a bench, working with chemicals and biologicals, and in a time-sensitive production role. Lifting requirements of up to 30lbs on a regular basis.
