Pre-employment Requirement: Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checkAbout the RoleWe're seeking a Lead Hand Electrician to join our Port Colborne team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing operations while producing high-quality results that meet ADM's standards. The position involves both hands-on electrical work and team coordination in a fast-paced industrial environment.You'll provide leadership to the electrical team, support maintenance operations, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.What You'll DoProvide daily leadership, direction, and coordination to electricians and maintenance team membersAct as a liaison between supervision and the electrical team, communicating priorities and updatesSupport scheduling and assignment of work orders to ensure timely completionPromote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safety rules and guidelinesAssist with training, mentoring, and development of team membersTroubleshoot industrial controls, including Allen-Bradley (AB) PLCs, VFDs, motor control systems, and electronic equipmentPerform and oversee installation of conduits, wiring, lighting fixtures, transformers, switchgear, PLC-controlled systems, motors, and conveyor systemsInstall a wide variety of electrical devices and control circuitsRepair, rebuild, and upgrade electrical equipmentRead and interpret ladder logic diagrams and apply PLC principlesPerform preventative maintenance and ensure completion of work ordersDrive continuous improvement initiatives within the departmentEnsure proper care and maintenance of electrical and electronic tools and equipmentPerform other assigned tasks as requiredWhat You BringStrong leadership and team coordination capabilitiesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExtensive knowledge of electrical and electronic systemsPLC troubleshooting experience required; AB PLC experience preferredExperience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and calibrationStrong computer skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication abilitiesStrong commitment to safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standardsEducation and ExperienceMust hold valid trade certifications:442A - Industrial Electrician309A - Construction & Maintenance Electrician3-5 years of experience leading or managing a teamLeadership or supervisory experience in an industrial environment considered an assetWhat's in It for You
