Do you thrive on learning technologies in a fast-paced agile development environment?ESC is looking for a highly-motivated and engaged Technical Writer to join our Application Delivery team; a self-starter committed to producing high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and deliver documentation on projects across various technology domains.Your technical aptitude and ability to research, combined with your solid writing skills and talent, will be key to creating engaging and easy to understand content. You’ll look for ways to maximize content reuse and streamline processes, while ensuring consistency across our documentation library. Your previous experience creating online content and desire to innovate will help us transition from our traditional PDF library toward a modern, online, documentation and user assistance infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain technical and end-user documentation, including but not limited to user guides, release notes, detail design documents, and UX copy (labels and messages) for our in-house software applicationsFollow established documentation quality assurance processes and style guidelinesEdit peer work for clarity and consistency across all customer-facing documentationCoordinate with Translation Services to develop and maintain French documentationPublish and distribute technical documents to appropriate channels within established timelinesBuild an online repository of aids beyond our traditional documentation, such as knowledgebase articles, infographics, and videosContinually seek opportunities to update your product knowledge, innovate documentation deliverables, and streamline processesQuickly learn and adopt technology, tools, and processes in a fast-paced Agile environmentActively participate in meetings and demos with a variety of technology and business stakeholders to obtain in-depth understanding of ESC’s products and features, and documentation requirementsWork independently with limited or no supervision to meet deadlinesManage multiple streams of work with parallel deadlinesCollaborate with team members and contribute to discussions on innovative documentation delivery, standards, and stylesQualificationsCertificate in Technical Writing or related experience, preferably in an IT/software development environmentImpeccable English writing, spelling, and grammar skillsProficient in the following applications:Adobe FrameMakerAdobe AcrobatMicrosoft WordSharePointExperience developing online help and knowledgebase articles preferredExceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsEffective time management and project prioritization skills, multi-taskingUnderstanding of Agile development methodologyExperience using Confluence and JIRA preferredExperience with DITA and XML-based authoring tools preferredConsidered Assets:Bilingual (French and English)Familiar with API documentation for REST APIsExperience in health claims adjudication or health care insurance benefitsNOTE: Internal candidates should apply before March 15, 2024.Express Scripts Canada is a Cigna companyExpress Scripts Canada is a subsidiary of Express Scripts, a Cigna company.
