Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.The RoleIn this role, you will:

Operate Atlas Copco Raisebore drills (53R) and Cubex Scorpion drills (and all associated equipment).
Co-ordinate set-up, teardown, and placements of Atlas Copco Raisebore Drills (53R) and Cubex Scorpion drills.
Assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers.
Assist with Longhole stope blasting activities.
Oversee training and safety of Raisebore personnel at second and third levels of progression.

Required:

minimum grade 12 education or equivalent;
minimum of five years of relevant work experience as a raisebore operator or longhole drill operator in a mining environment;
minimum of five years underground work experience;
strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills;
rotating day shift/night shift schedule; and
work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:

experience in longhole drilling and blasting;
able to obtain a Saskatchewan blasting certificate;
experience in mine rescue training; and
ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer).
