
Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, Nuclear

- Preparation of technical specifications, data sheets for mechanical equipment and piping.
- Ability to liaise with the supplier in the purchase of equipment.
- Review shop drawings and attend inspection as required.
- Perform technical evaluations leading to a recommendation and ultimate purchase of the equipment.
- Familiar with applicable codes and standards, perform calculations.
- Prepare project scope of work, planning and support RFQ’s (Requests For Quotation).
- Work within budget and time constraints.
- Preparation of Scope of Work Documentation.
- Follow Worley and client Nuclear quality programs and protocols.
- Self-starters and highly motivated individuals looking for career growth opportunities.
- Experience in working in nuclear power industries.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines.
- Working with other disciplines, understanding engineering sequence, workflow and working with the customer on design reviews.
- Working knowledge in all the relevant standards (ie. ASME B31.1, ASME Sec 3, N285, N286, N299 etc..).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proactive attitude and problem solving skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with intermediate level of relevant experience. Nuclear project experience is desired.
- Familiarity with Bruce Power procedures is an asset.
- Registered with PEO as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration.
- Eligible for nuclear clearance will be required.
- Available to travel frequently to Kincardine, ON
