We are seeking an experienced Concrete Foreperson to join our construction team for a Hotel project in Sudbury, ON.The Concrete Foreman will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of concrete work, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the construction process. This individual will manage a team of concrete workers, coordinate schedules, and liaise with the suit superintendent and the project manager to meet deadlines and project specifications.Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of concrete workers, including laborers and equipment operators.
  • Coordinate with project managers to schedule concrete pours and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Oversee the setup and preparation of formwork, reinforcing steel, and other materials required for concrete pours.
  • Monitor concrete placement and finishing to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations at all times.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during concrete placement and work collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and daily progress reports.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably on high-rise construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, including formwork, rebar installation, and finishing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • Proven track record of prioritizing safety and enforcing safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
