DescriptionOur large Vancouver based real estate client is seeking a Vice President, Finance to join the team.An exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Senior Manager or Director ready to make the move from public practice into a dynamic industry role.**Salary ranging from $185,000-$210,000 + 40% target bonus**Benefits:

The Vice President, Finance will lead a team delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting, while ensuring strong internal controls and client service. Key areas include financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, audit, tax, cash management, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Controls
  • Lead a team of 3 direct and 10 indirect reports producing financials.
  • Ensure accounting policies align with GAAP (IFRS, ASPE, Disclosed basis ASPE) .
  • Oversee budgets, internal controls, and financial systems for select clients.
External Reporting & Audit
  • Manage annual audits and review financial statements.
  • Handle quarterly reporting, including covenant compliance.
Tax Compliance
  • Oversee corporate, withholding, and indirect tax filings and remittances.
Treasury Management
  • Manage cash flow and distributions; maintain credit agreement compliance.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Foster relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support talent development, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
Successful Candidate:
  • Designated CPA/CA with a strong technical accounting foundation.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience, preferably from a Big 4 Firm
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams and working with senior executives
  • Commercial real estate industry background considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
