- Overseeing and mentoring greenhouse staff and seasonal team members
- Knowledgeable and accurate customer service
- Merchandising, displays and proper signage
- Working closely with Production Manager and Greenhouse Grower
- Supporting training efforts in plants and related products
- Keeping retail spaces clean, shoppable, organized, and inviting
- Conducting regular inventory audits and reporting supply needs to the Production Manager
- Monitoring and maintaining ideal greenhouse conditions (temperature, humidity, light, air flow) as required
- Overseeing the care of indoor plants as well as seasonal plants
- Watering, fertilizing, pruning, and assisting in pest/disease management
- Supporting offsite plant maintenance and in-house greenhouse events and workshops
- Proven experience in greenhouse or horticulture operations, strong knowledge of plant care, pest/disease management.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Manitoba pesticide license is a plus
- Retail display experience
- Familiarity with greenhouse equipment and climate control systems
- Great communication and problem-solving abilities
- A passion for plants and a proactive, hands-on mindset
- Proficiency with data tracking tools, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and inventory software
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying conditions; environments that are humid, hot, and cool.
- A broad knowledge of various plant material
