- Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitoring progress against established schedules
- Reporting on the status of all active projects assigned to you, and preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules to project teams
- Creating, organizing and tracking baseline schedules according to project specifications
- Working with the project team to create, plan and direct the Baseline Schedule, ensuring that it meets or exceeds EllisDon’s Best Practices in terms of format, layout, content and quality.
- Updating the project schedule every other week for each project assigned to you, using information provided by the project team.
- Reporting on the accuracy and reliability of the information provided so occasional site visits will be required.
- Updating and organizing information that will include as-built dates, short-term forecasting, changes/delays information incorporating schedule impact, and potentially some resequencing of work to match the current execution plan.
- Attending and participating in internal project review meetings.
- Providing support to project teams by developing micro work schedules, what-if scenarios, Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) schedules as required.
- Promoting a proactive project management approach by recommending and explaining best practices in planning and scheduling to project team members (PM’s & Superintendents).
- Proactively identifying problems or conflicts in the project schedule and assist other Schedulers on the team as well as Project Managers and/or Superintendents in effectively managing a resolution.
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 5+ years of construction scheduling experience, construction project management experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs including P6, MS Projects.
- Ability to manage the schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working as part of a construction team, preferably experience as site superintendent, project manager, project coordinator or field engineer
